Instructions

Wash and soak matta rice, green gram, and methi seeds overnight.

Add the above into a pressure cooker with salt and cook for 3 whistles.

Open once the pressure is released, adjust consistency with more water if required.

You can also add in a pinch of hing into the kanji, especially if you’re feeling unwell.

Serve with curd, pickle, and papad for a comforting meal.
